Last Friday, AWE welcomed our members for an afternoon infused with the gentle spirit of early spring, as we came together for our Chinese New Year Gathering. Trading daily routines for moments of quiet reflection, we engaged in a heartfelt dialogue with ourselves through the timeless art of calligraphy—clarifying intentions and setting a more meaningful direction for our enterprises in the year ahead.

We were honoured to have the Hong Kong Academy of Chinese Calligraphy with us, guiding members through the beauty and depth of calligraphic culture. Vice Chairperson, Ms. Shum Yuen Wa, opened the session by sharing the origins of calligraphy and the traditional practice of making aspirations, helping each participant connect with their most essential hopes for the year ahead. Following the sharing, Ms. Sum and Ms. Wong graciously brought these visions to life through brush and ink. Each piece is a beautiful testament to the promises we make to ourselves, and a gentle anchor to return to in the months to come.

During the networking session that followed, conversations flowed as members extended their personal visions into aspirations around wealth creation and collective well-being. The discussions were open and heartfelt, giving rise to genuine connection and early seeds of collaboration—all nurtured in an atmosphere of warmth and possibility.

We extend our deepest gratitude to every member who joined us with an open heart and a willingness to share. Our sincere thanks also go to the Hong Kong Art Exchange Association and the Hong Kong Academy of Chinese Calligraphy, whose support allowed the elegance of calligraphy to become a vessel for our shared aspirations.

The path toward a benevolent economy is one best walked together. We look forward to our next gathering—where culture and conversation will once again inspire meaningful co-creation.
